The Good Guys
In November 2016, The JB Hi-Fi Group acquired The Good Guys. Founded in 1952, The Good Guys is a leading retailer of home appliances and consumer electronics to the Australian market, with a network of over 100 stores across Australia. Whilst JB Hi-Fi & The Good Guys operate as separate retail offers, JB Hi-Fi Solutions can access retail & commercial products from both brands.
Expert advice for every state | With 6 locations throughout Australasia – including Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart, Brisbane, Perth, and Auckland – our passionate and easy to work with JB Hi-Fi Solutions team are ready to give you advice anywhere, at any time. While we do not operate directly out of the JB Hi-Fi stores, we leverage our extensive JB Hi-Fi store network to facilitate delivery and pick up of goods from any store throughout Australia.
JB Hi-Fi recognises its responsibility to give back to the community, so in November 2008, JB Hi-Fi founded the “Helping Hands” workplace giving program. This program allows all JB Hi-Fi employees to donate to 10 charity partners, through regular payroll deductions. With JB Hi-Fi matching staff contributions dollar-for-dollar, we effectively double the positive impact to our charities.Over the past eleven years, JB Hi-Fi has raised over $20 million for our charity partners. We have over 6,000 staff members contributing to the program each week, which is 76% of our workforce nationally.Since 2016, the Helping Hands program has received six Workplace Giving awards, including Best Overall Program and Most Innovative Charity / Employer Partnership. JB Hi-Fi is a proud member of Workplace Giving Australia and supports their goal of reaching 1 million donors.
JB Hi-Fi Bags – Proceeds to go to Helping Hands
From 10 February 2020 JB Hi-Fi is introducing a 15c charge for plastic bags plus a new multi-use bag for $1. JB Hi-Fi will not profit from these charges. 15c from all bags will go directly to the Helping Hands program, split evenly between each of our 10 charity partners.
